2022-23 SLATS Report

Listed in Queensland Open Data Portal

The Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS) monitors woody vegetation extent, and annual changes to that extent due to clearing and regrowth using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery as its primary monitoring tool.

Description

This datatset is for the 2022–23 SLATS reporting period. The 2022–23 SLATS reporting period is nominally from August 2022 to August 2023.

This dataset includes data summaries of woody vegetation change data associated with the 2022–23 SLATS Report as well as woody vegetation change data summaries for a selection of administrative and natural resource management regions and divisions. The 2022–23 report and data are directly comparable with the 2018–19, 2019–20, 20-21 and 2021-22 reports. However they are not comparable with SLATS reports up to and including 2017–18 due to a change in methodology.

Note that regrowth was not reported in 2018–19—regrowth figures for that period are displayed as zero in the relevant data summaries. For further information about specific report changes and breakdown layers refer to the e2223 readme file.
