Abstract
The beetle species (Insecta: Coleoptera) Oligota inexspectata WILLIAMS, 1994 (Staphylinidae), Acrotona pseudotenera (CAMERON, 1933) (Staphylinidae), Bisnius parcus (SHARP, 1874), Trixagus atticus Reitter, 1921 (Throscidae) and Mordellistena connata ERMISCH, 1969 (Mordellidae) are for the first time recorded for the fauna of Hesse from the nature reserve Haimberg bei Mittelrode and the southwesterly adjacent Saurode valley.
The first record of Eusphalerum pseudaucupariae (E. STRAND, 1917) for Hesse is invalid, because it is based on misidentification.
