Baseline, anomalies, and Trends (2006-2020) of 15-day fractional sea ice and terrestrial snow cover presence, 1km Arctic

Listed in NOAA Polar Watch

This dataset provides baseline, anomalies, and trends of 15-day fractional sea ice and terrestrial snow cover presence at 1km resolution in the Arctic from 2006 to 2020.

Description

The data is derived from the Interactive Multisensor Snow and Ice Mapping System (IMS) daily snow and ice maps, which are created by the National Ice Center (NIC) using a combination of satellite imagery, surface observations, and other data sources. The dataset includes mean and standard deviation values for each 15-day period, as well as anomalies and trends over the 15-year period.

The data is provided in Network Common Data Format (NetCDF) format and is suitable for use in climate research, environmental monitoring, and other applications.
