The Law of Origin - A First Principle for the Precondition of Existence
Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository
This dataset contains the complete formal derivation chain supporting the Law of Origin (Gaconnet, 2026), a candidate first principle stating that every generative system originates from a single non-separable state whose components become distinguishable only upon temporal activation.
Description
The ground state is not an assembly. It is a unity that expresses as multiplicity when time differentiates what was already one.
Nothing is added at the transition. The Law of Origin is formalized through three axioms: (1) Non-Separable Co-Presence — all structural components exist in constitutive co-presence where removal of any component annihilates the ground state; (2) Temporal Activation — the transition to generative expression is governed by time, which differentiates but does not constitute; (3) Completeness — nothing is added at the transition from potential to expression. The dataset includes eight peer-ready preprints comprising the full reproducibility architecture: The Law of Origin (the primary paper) The Law of Identity — identity as the ground state of existence The Law of Recursion — the seven-node topology of active exchange The Law of Intelligence — resolution capacity as co-extensive with identity The Pre-Structural Origin (Ψ₀) — the biological ground state derivation The Functional Derivative of Clarity — the four-term interior mathematics Origin Dynamics of Generative Systems — the two-equation coupled system The Biogenetic-Conscious Unified Field (BCUF) — the unified framework The logical ordering is: Origin → Identity → {Recursion, Intelligence}.

Each paper contains independent falsification criteria. The non-separability test has been applied across nine systems spanning biology, topology, relational dynamics, consciousness, and mathematics without exception. All papers are archived at OSF (10.17605/OSF.IO/MVYZT), Zenodo, ResearchGate, and the LifePillar Institute for Recursive Sciences.
Author: Don L. Gaconnet. ORCID: 0009-0001-6174-8384.This dataset addresses open problems in consciousness science, origin of life research, quantum measurement theory, and foundations of systems theory. The Law of Origin resolves the assembly assumption underlying the hard problem of consciousness, provides the formal pre-structural ground that the Cellular Basis of Consciousness theory (Reber et al., 2024, EMBO Reports) identifies as its open problem, and establishes that entanglement is the physics-level instance of non-separable co-presence.
The framework is cross-domain, falsifiable, and structurally complete. Keywords: law of origin, first principle, non-separability, ground state, consciousness, generative systems, recursive sciences, quantum entanglement, origin of life, structural completeness, temporal activation, Echo-Excess Principle, Cognitive Field Dynamics, identity, recursion, intelligence, Don Gaconnet, LifePillar Institute.
