The Site : Brunnengasse

Brunnengasse is stretched from the lower side of the drawing upwards until it faces Lugner CIty, where before the mall's construction, it used to continue until Märzpark. The design cuts through Lugner City, extending the linear sequence of Brunnenmarkt toward Märzpark and the Wiener Stadthalle, transforming the mall into a new urban passage.

On the lower side of the drawing, the street market is depicted in the midst of Vienna's urban context with streets passing through it without interruption, while on the upper side of the drawing, Lugner City is offering its commercial space by enclosure and defining border for its interiority. Major public spaces are Yppenplatz; where brunnenmarkt starts, Stadthalle which is Vienna's biggest Arena, Märzpark as the front yard of Stadthalle and where Brunnengasse used to end, and the Main Library in Gürtel on the left side of the mall.
