Replication Data for: Measuring groundwater flow changes in a fractured bedrock aquifer under ambient and open hole conditions using Active Distributed Temperature Sensing

Temperature data collected in borehole GDC-07, sealed with a flexible and impermeable liner during three Active-Distributed Temperature Sensing (A-DTS) tests.
Description
The first test (Sealed) was collected with all boreholes on the site sealed with liners to restore natural gradient conditions. The Cross-Connected scenario test was collected when a nearby borehole (GDC-05, 7.5 m away) was open allowing water to flow vertically in the wellbore.
The Pumped scenario test was collected when the nearby open borehole (GDC-05) was pumped at a constant rate of 54 L/min. All three A-DTS tests included 30 minutes of background temperature before heating, which was subtracted from the dataset at each depth to show temperature differences above ambient. The composite fibre optic cable was heated for a 10 h period with a power output of 7.12 W/m.

The DTS used to measure the temperature was a Silixa ULTIMA S. The hydraulic head datasets were collected in borehole GDC-12, which is an inclined borehole located approximately 45 m away from GDC-07 and GDC-05. This data was collected using a string of RBRsoloD and RBRduetT.D. transducers, sealed in place with a flexible impermeable liner. Three head profiles are provided (one for each hydraulic scenario described above - Sealed, Cross-connected, Pumped).
