The dataset contains records of the large steppe birds - Great bustard (Otis tarda), Little Bustard (Tetrax tetrax) and Eurasian Stone Curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus) collected in the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (Block A: Alvito-Pisão) and in the Important Bird Area (IBA) of Cuba, in the framework of a “Bird Atlas” performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA. Data were collected in the springs and winters of 2016-2018.
