K–12 school acoustic design grey literature dataset

Data were primarily collected from project documents publicly released by architectural firms, acoustic consultants, and acoustic material suppliers. All projects contained identifiable acoustic design-related information and met the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Projects in the dataset were processed using standardized coding, including: basic project information (project ID, country, completion year, educational level, construction type, and source category), 19 space types, five major categories, and 23 subcategories: Interior Surface (IS), Room Acoustic Elements (RA), Spatial Planning (SP), Envelope/Partition (EN), and Systems & Equipment (SE). Quantitative acoustic performance metrics reported in the literature and their reporting status (design targets, simulation predictions, or post-completion measurements) were also included in the analysis.
