Registered Offering Statistics (ROS) File

The agency used the ROS file to capture microdata of effective registrations of domestic business and foreign government securities under the Securities Act of 1933 and Regulation A. The agency also used the ROS file to publish monthly aggregate offering statistics in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Statistical Bulletin and SEC Monthly Statistical Review, maintain selected statistical information about securities registrations, produce periodic reports for staff use, and provi de special reports upon request.

This series contains a file with records documenting the name of issuer (registrant), partner, and underwriter or agent; Securities and Exchange Commission file number; Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code; number of security shares offered and how; number of security (stock) shares purchased within the corporation and by foreigners; current assets, liabilities, sales, and net income; bond ratings; and dates relating to the security offering including date effective, offered, filed, begun, expired, and withdrawn.
