This database includes completed, current, and future projects supporting coastal resilience.
Description
The inventory was initially published on the Hampton Roads Resilience Projects Dashboard May 15, 2019, with revisions made on October 21, 2021. The inventory will continue to be updated.
Project status classifications are defined as follows; Proposed: Projects that have been documented in a plan (such as a Comprehensive Plan or Coastal Flooding/Sea Level Rise Plan) but have not yet been budgeted or approved through a Capital Improvement Program/Plan (CIP). Programmed: Projects that are documented in approved CIP plans, but have not yet entered the design or construction phase. Under Design: Projects that have entered the design phase, including preliminary design, but have not yet entered the construction phase.

This may also include land acquisition or environmental review. Under Construction: Projects currently being advertised for construction or undergoing construction. Completed: Projects completed within the previous 5 years.
Please note that the locations of home elevation projects included in the inventory are not available for download for privacy reasons. Local government staff of the Hampton Roads region provided information for constructing this inventory. This dashboard was developed by the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) under its Coastal Resiliency Program.
While every effort has been made to obtain current information about the projects contained herein, no representation or assurance is made regarding the accuracy of the underlying data. Please contact the individual locality or the HRPDC with questions regarding specific projects.
