This dataset contains the image map used for mapping snowlines for the paper: De Angelis, Hernán. "Hypsometry and sensitivity of the mass balance to changes in equilibrium-line altitude: the case of the Southern Patagonia Icefield." Journal of Glaciology 60.219 (2014): 14-28.
Description
The image map was compiled by averaging seven cloud-free images acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on 5, 16 and 17 February 2002; 5, 6 and 7 February 2004; and 10 March 2004.
The dataset contains three images: - HPS-MODIS-543RGB-2002-4_base-image_geotiff.tif geocoded GeoTIFF image - HPS-MODIS-543RGB-2002-4_base-image.png same as above, but as simple PNG - HPS-MODIS-543RGB-2002-4_glacier-inventory.png same as above, with glacier inventory and snowlines (with error bounds) superimposed, as described in the paper.
