TOGA COARE soundings from R/V Vickers

The R/V was operated jointly by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the University of Southern Califoria (USC). The R/V was in TOGA-COARE domain during 90 days of the full 120 day IOP, however soundings were released only during the period from 28 January to 27 February 1993.

Soundings were taken four times per day (00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC) during participation in the IOP. UCAR/JOSS conducted no quality control on these data. This dataset includes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude taken at 10 second vertical intervals.
