Two new species of Conostigmus Dahlbom, 1858 (Hymenoptera, Megaspilidae) from Xizang Autonomous Region, China

The genus Conostigmus Dahlbom, 1858 (Hymenoptera: Megaspilidae) is the most species-rich genus within the family Megaspilidae, with a worldwide distribution and important ecological roles as parasitoids. Based on morphological evidence, two new species of the genus, namely Conostigmus vitreus sp. nov. and Conostigmus obsidianus sp. nov., are described and illustrated from Xizang Autonomous Region, China. An updated key to the Chinese species of Conostigmus is provided.

This study contributes additional new taxa to the fauna of Conostigmus in Xizang, further enriching the knowledge of the Himalayan Megaspilidae fauna.
