EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network, Irrigation Block Alvito-Pisão (Block A) and Cuba IBA: Diurnal Raptors – linear transects [spring 2017]

The dataset contains records of diurnal raptors Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (Block A: Alvito-Pisão) and in the Important Bird Area (IBA) of Cuba and a control area, in the framework of the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in the spring of 2017.

Description

The diurnal raptors and alike species (Eg., Corvidae) were searched for in 13 transects (10 in the study area and 3 in the control area), in a total of 41.9 km in the impacted area and 6.3 km in the control area.

A total of 98 contacts was obtained, for nine species of birds.
