Bioinformatics study on the expression, immune infiltration, and clinical significance of AHCY in lung adenocarcinoma.

Listed in ScienceDB

Objective To explore the differential expression, clinical characteristics and potential role in immunity of adenosylhomocysteinase (AHCY) in human lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) by bioinformatics methods.

Description

Methods

Firstly, the expression of AHCY in LUAD was investigated through TCGA, GEO and HPA databases; secondly, in the TCGA clinical data, the relationship between AHCY and the prognosis and clinical characteristics of LUAD was studied through survival curves and logistic regression analysis; then, the immunomodulation of AHCY in LUAD was studied through multiple immune analyses in R studio and the TISID database, TIDE evaluated immune dysfunction and rejection, and the localization expression of AHCY in LUAD was studied through single-cell group analysis; finally, the co-expression network and potential biological functions of AHCY in LUAD were analyzed through the Linkedomics technology. Results The transcriptome analysis results showed that AHCY was significantly highly expressed in LUAD; the bioinformatics analysis showed that the expression of AHCY was closely related to a variety of clinical parameters and might be an independent risk factor affecting the prognosis; the single-cell omics study found that the localization expression of AHCY in dendritic cells, macrophages, etc. was particularly significant; the multiple immune analysis results showed that AHCY was negatively correlated with the immune score and participated in the immune infiltration of the tumor; the TISID database showed that AHCY was closely related to a variety of immune factors; the TIDE results showed that immune escape was more likely to occur with high expression of AHCY; the Linkedomics results showed that AHCY participated in a variety of immune pathways in LUAD.Conclusion ACHY is significantly highly expressed in LUAD and is associated with poor prognosis, and may play an important role in immunomodulation.
