Taxonomic notes on Pachymetopius Matsumura (Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae: Stegelytrini) with description of three new species

An annotated checklist of the leafhopper genus Pachymetopius Matsumura, 1914 (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) from China is presented. Three new species, Pachymetopius multidenticulatus sp. nov., P. rufus sp. nov., and P. stigmatosus sp. nov., are described and illustrated, while Pachymetopius anamikus Viraktamath, Yeshwanth & Webb, 2020, P. bicaudatus Wei, Zhang & Webb, 2008, and P. curvatus Wei, Zhang & Webb, 2008 are recorded for the first time from China and re-described based on male morphological characters, including detailed structure of the male genitalia.

A key to known species of Pachymetopius is provided. The type specimens of new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).
