Southeast Asia Imagery Reconnaissance Files (SIRFA)

This series contains data identifying reconnaissance objectives, imagery requests, and imagery characteristics for imagery flown over Southeast Asia, during the Vietnam Conflict.

The SIRFA data file identifies aerial reconnaissance objectives by objective identification number, target type, target name, target shape, route segment, and geographic coordinates. Imagery requests are identified by organization, date of request, frequency, and priority. Imagery characteristics are identified by a day or night indicator, type of film, scale, mission date and number, percent of coverage, quality of photography, camera orientation and type, and a success indicator.
