This series contains data derived from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Form 1, Annual Report of Major Electric Utilities, Licensees, and Others.

This series contains annu al financial and operation information about privately owned electric utilities operating in the United States and Puerto Rico. Major electric utilities are defined as those utilities which have had, in the prior three consecutive calendar years, sales or transmission services that exceeded one of the following: one million megawatt hours of total annual sales, 100 megawatt hours of annual sales for resales, 500 megawatt hours of gross interchange out or 500 megawatt hours of resale for others.
