NCCS Global impacts of climate change on Switzerland Data Collection: In-depth analysis of the impacts of global climate change on Switzerland's economic performance using the CLIMADA modelling chain.

This data collection regroups the data used and created during the NCCS Global-Impact project.
Description
It presents a multi-hazard, and multi-sectoral assessment of economic impacts stemming from both direct and indirect (supply chain) impacts of climate hazards across 190 countries, with a specific focus on the resulting indirect impacts on Switzerland's economy. The modelling was conducted using the CLIMADA modelling platform.
The collection consists of two main components: - the data that was collected or generated to compute direct and indirect economic impacts, i.e., the spatially explicit global exposure data (calibrated on the WIOD 2016 Release, disaggregated 2011 production values). - the outputs of the modelling chain, i.e. the estimated global direct impacts and Switzerland specific indirect economic impact under various climate change scenarios.

The dataset covers direct impacts from four main hazard types used for supply chain analysis: tropical cyclones (wind and surge), European winter storms, river floods and agricultural hazards (relative crop yield losses). The assessment includes future projections under IPCC RCP climate scenarios (e.g., RCP2.6 and RCP8.5). The dataset covers multiple economic sectors: Agriculture, Forestry, Mining, Manufacturing, Utilities, and Services.
These are mapped using a detailed sub-sectoral breakdown and calibrated to the WIOD MRIO table. Specific focus sectors, e.g. Pharmaceuticals, Raw Materials, and Food, are highlighted for in-depth analysis. More details on the results and approach are found in the final report of the project.
