Preparation Method and Application of Magnetic Hydrothermal Carbon for Activating Persulfate to Degrade Organic Pollutants

Listed in ScienceDB

This patent discloses a preparation method and application of magnetic hydrothermal carbon for activating persulfate to degrade organic pollutants, aiming to solve the problem of poor performance of traditional biochar in persulfate activation.

Description

Using corn straw powder as the raw material, the magnetic hydrothermal carbon is prepared via a one-step low-temperature hydrothermal method with urea and ferric nitrate, without the need for high-temperature calcination, featuring a simple process.

This material can serve as an activator to synergistically degrade antibiotic and dye-based organic pollutants with persulfate. Efficient degradation can be achieved by adding the activator and persulfate at specific concentrations and stirring for 60-120 minutes, and the material is suitable for the field of organic wastewater treatment.
