PseudoSSIM was developed on H.264/AVC, allowing SSIM assessment for 4x4 and 8x8 sub-blocks.

Description

It was designed to compatible with existing assessments, L1 norm, which include Sum of Absolute Difference (SAD) and Sum of Absolute Transform Difference (SATD). In addition, PseudoSSIM was designed to be processor friendly, whereby an in-loop solution was produced to allow each sub-block to be individually assessed.

This collection contains the data which led to the formation of the proposed PseudoSSIM, the modified codebase with PseudoSSIM implemented and scripts/logs during testing,
