Description

He discusses the following: declaration of World War I; economic situation; customs and traditions at that time; condition of people’s houses; Ottoman military and the guns they used; locust plague; drought of 1916; disease and starvation; emigration as a way to avoid the hardships and conscription; methods of transportation; uprisings against Ottoman rule; people's reactions to the end of the war.
