The Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program operates a 50 MHz profiler site at the Central Facility of its Southern Great Plains site.

Description

The 50 MHz profiler Radio Acoustic Sounding System (RASS) provides hourly vertical profiles of the virtual temperature. The measurements start at 2.19 km and continue up to 5.94 km with a vertical spacing of about 0.15 km.
