Fish larvae auditory capacity and their response to anthropogenic sounds

It combines published hearing-threshold measurements for larvae of 22 fish species, classified into four auditory-specialization groups, with field data from experiments examining larval responses to sound treatments. The field datasets include information on larval abundance, body length, taxonomic or auditory group, sampling site, and sound treatment under peak- and low-abundance conditions.

Together, these datasets support analyses of how larval size and auditory specialization relate to hearing capacity and responses to anthropogenic sounds.
