IAI-Data-CRN_012_Marchesini: Foliar damage during the massive flowering and death of the bamboo Chusquea culeou

We proposed to assess the impact of this event on: a) the environmental factors and b) the population dynamics of forest vegetation. We recorded air and soil temperature, relative air humidity and light intensity under two conditions: death and green bamboo.

We also registered the survirvoship, growth and herbivory rates on Nothofagus nervosa, a canopy dominant tree and Chusquea culeou seedlings. we monitored the herbivory rates (insect folivory) on Nothofagus nervosa seedlings under two conditions, death and green vegetation in different moments of the year. We recorded foliar damage (number of damaged leaf per plant) from different insect guilds.
