Physiological and morphological conditions of tagged seals, 2001 and 2002, west of Antarctic Peninsula, GLOBEC

The captured seals were surveyed, prior to release, for their physiological and morphological conditions: body weight, body dimensions, blubber thickness, blood sampling, blood volume, tissue samples and general health. The seal capture/release area consisted of: the continental shelf to the west of the Antarctic Peninsula extending from the northern tip of Adelaide Island to the southern portion of Alexander Island, Crystal Sound, and Marguerite Bay. ships/cruise ID/cruise dates R/V Laurence M.
