Replication data for Fig 14.8, GPDs, Males, Sex partners vs body mass, no 0s, 06 May 2025

MOST DATA CHECKED TWO TIMES. FOR GPD MALES FOR WHICH I HAVE NO INFORMATION ON COPS, I have many weights during the mating season or at first juvenile emergences. SOME of these latter data are in this EXCEL file, but many are not.

Some un-entered data are in one of the HARD COPIES of this file. Note that this file contains GPD data from 3 colonies: PEFO in 1989-1995; RMC in 2013-2016; and VCC in 2017-2018. OLD File name = GPDs, male wts vs cops, PEFO and VCNP, 15 Aug 2020 VCNP = Valles Caldera National Preserve includes RMC (Redondo Meadow Colony) and VCC (Visitor Center Colony) Mincops = Number of different sexual partners for which we are highly confident of a copulation Maxcops = Mincops + number of different sexual partners for which we are less confident of a copulation.

For these latter females, a copulation was POSSIBLE but not definite. I do not show Maxcops in this file PEFO = Petrified Forest National Park These data used for Figure 14.8 in Hoogland 2026. This file ready for longterm storage on 05 May 2025.

All body masses = weights in GRAMS Age = age in years since first emergence from natal nursery-burrow In Fig 14.8 and for GPD statistical analyses, I only considered males for which Number of mincops >=1 i.e., I did NOT consider GPD males for which Number of mincops = 0, as indicated in File name. For Fig 14.8 for GPDs, I used MINSEXPARTNERS rather than MAXSEXPARTNERS I considered data from that same GPD male in different years to be independent.
