Data from laboratory experiments investigating the effects of environmental calcium and magnesium concentrations, and salinity, on post-moult calcium and acid-base fluxes in whiteleg shrimp (<i>Penaeus vannamei</i>).<p dir="ltr">Two separate experiments were conducted to investigate how seawater [Ca<sup>2+</sup>] and [Mg<sup>2+</sup>] (at a constant Ca:Mg of 1:5) impact ion and acid bases fluxes during post-moult calcification in juvenile whiteleg shrimp.
