Mitochondrial 14-PCG alignment and phylogenetic trees of deep-sea bubblegum corals (Coralliidae)

This dataset supports the manuscript “Integrative systematics of deep-sea bubblegum corals reveals a new genus and five new species.” It contains a concatenated nucleotide alignment of 14 mitochondrial protein-coding genes and the final maximum-likelihood (ML) and Bayesian-inference (BI) phylogenetic trees. The alignment comprises 21 terminals and 15,445 nucleotide sites, including 20 bubblegum-coral terminals and Corallium rubrum AB700136 as the outgroup.

The ML tree was inferred using IQ-TREE 2.4.0 with 10,000 ultrafast bootstrap and 10,000 SH-aLRT replicates. The BI tree was inferred using MrBayes 3.2.7 with two independent runs of four chains for 5,000,000 generations. KM015354 and NC_026193 represent the same voucher specimen; therefore, only KM015354 was retained in the analyses.
