RNA-seq from Drosophila heads and bodies associated with age-dependent sleep fragmentation

Listed in NCBI GEO

In Drosophila, In Drosophila, we tried to determine the genes associated with age-dependent sleep fragmentation.

Description

To this end, the aged male flies showing sleep fragmentation was sampled to compare with those without showing sleep fragmentation. Using an optimized data analysis workflow, we mapped about 0.2-0.6 million reads to Drosophila reference genome, dm6.

The genes showing significant difference were found in most between naive group and shocked group showing medium avoidance from a confined space. Our study demonstrated differentially expressed genes in aged flies showing sleep fragmentation.
