Gene expression profiling of hindpaw tissues in a spontaneous arthritis mouse model to explore pathological ossification and the effects of non-pharmacological interventions

Listed in NCBI GEO

Spondyloarthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease with limited therapeutic options, particularly for pathological bone formation.

Description

The spontaneous arthritis (SpAD) mouse model reproduces key features of human axial spondyloarthritis, including abnormal joint ossification. This dataset captures transcriptional profiles from joint-associated tissues under various non-pharmacological interventions, such as exercise and intermittent fasting, providing insights into mechanisms of inflammation and ectopic ossification.

Gene expression profiling was conducted on distal hindpaw tissues from DBA/1 mice with spontaneous arthritis using GeneChip Clariomª D microarrays. Mice were assigned to groups with or without interventions including treadmill exercise and intermittent fasting. Healthy BALB/c mice were included as controls.
