DNA Copy Number Analysis of Germ Cell Tumors in the Thai Population

Listed in NCBI GEO

This project aims to identify CNVs of intracranial and extracranial germ cell tumors in the Thai population.

Description

Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues (FFPET) from intracranial (IGCTs) and extracranial germ cell tumors (EGCTs) were extracted and analyzed using SNP microarray, and somatic CNVs were also investigated. Pathway enrichment analysis and associations between significant CNVs, clinical parameters, and 5-year progression-free survival were investigated to assess the potential clinical significance of these CNVs.

GCT CNVs from various populations were also compared.the gain of the 7q11.22 region and the loss of the 11p15.5 region are the major characteristics of this GCT cohort. Developmental pathways, DNA damage repair, and SUMOylation may play an essential role in GCT pathogenesis.
