Valve organoids recapitulate human in vivo organogenesis and pathological processes

Listed in NCBI GEO

Heart valves maintain unidirectional blood flow, yet most understanding of their development and disease comes from animal models that do not fully capture human valve physiology.

Description

We present a human valve organoid model that recapitulates in vivo valve features at cellular and molecular levels. We have profiled the valve cells using single cell mRNA-sequencing at different developmental stages.
