Pembrolizumab with or without vorinostat in first-line metastatic non-small cell lung cancer: a randomized phase 2 trial

Bulk RNA sequencing was performed on fresh-frozen tumor biopsies collected from patients with treatment-naïve metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) enrolled in a randomized phase II clinical trial comparing pembrolizumab monotherapy with pembrolizumab plus the histone deacetylase inhibitor vorinostat.
Description
Tumor biopsies were obtained before treatment and during cycle 1 (days 14–21) to characterize treatment-induced transcriptional changes associated with PD-1 blockade alone or in combination with HDAC inhibition.
