Luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide ameliorates psoriasis-like skin Inflammation via suppressing the AKT/mTOR and JAG1/NOTCH1 signaling pathways

Listed in NCBI GEO

Psoriasis is an immune-mediated skin disease.

Description

This study evaluated the anti-psoriatic potential of Luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide (LGU) in M5-stimulated HaCaT cells and IMQ-induced mouse models. LGU inhibited keratinocyte hyperproliferation (reduced Ki67, BCL2/BAX ratio, ROS) and alleviated clinical/histological features (PASI score, skin thickness) in vivo.

Meanwhile, LGU suppressed the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators (IL-1R1, IL-6, IL-23A, CCL3, CCL22). Mechanistically, LGU downregulated the AKT/mTOR and JAG1/NOTCH1 signaling pathways. Collectively, these findings identify LGU as a promising natural compound for psoriasis intervention.
