This project investigates the cellular heterogeneity and transcriptomic landscape of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) from pediatric asthma patients versus healthy controls using single-cell RNA sequencing.
Description
BALF was collected from six children: three asthma patients and three non-asthmatic controls. Single-cell suspensions were processed on a droplet-based platform to profile individual cell transcriptomes, including macrophages, lymphocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, and epithelial cells.
The data will reveal cell-type-specific expression signatures, differentially expressed genes, and altered cellular compositions and pathways associated with pediatric asthma. This dataset offers a valuable resource for understanding airway immune microenvironments and identifying potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Raw sequencing data and processed expression matrices will be deposited to support reproducibility and reuse.
