Transcriptome profiling of embryonic stem cells (mESCs) derived from B6 mouse, primitive neural stem cells (NSCs) derived from mESCs, muscle fibers, fat cells, spleen cells and thymus using RNA-sequencing.

Listed in NCBI GEO

The core proeprty of cancer cells is neural stemness, which determines tumorigenicity and pluripotency.

Description

Therefore, cancer cells can differentiate along different lineages. Upon differentiation, cancer cells will lose their neural stemness and tumorigenicity.

Cancer cells, embrynonic stem cells and neural stem cells are immune-privileged cells and are capable of immune evasion. We used transcriptome profiling to analyze the difference in trasncriptomes and particularly, transcription of immune related genes in a few cell types representing undifferentiated and differentiated states, because immunigenicity is the key for effective anti-tumor immunity and this relies on expression of immune related genes.
