Effect of GnRH administration on gene expression of obese mice neural stem cells

Listed in NCBI GEO

To explore the underlying mechanism of recognitive enhancement after GnRH supplementation, we used an obese mouse model that was given high fat diet (HFD) for three months.

Description

Treatment with saline or GnRH was given via implanted osmotic pumps for one month. Treatment was started after two months of feeding.

Our results revealed that GnRH significantly promoted hippocampal neurogenesis in obese mice via the GnRH receptor GnRHR, indicating the essential role of GnRH and its targets in hippocampal neural stem cells.
