Ionospheric observations at the SAS Juan Carlos I during the 2022-23 survey

Listed in NASA Earthdata CMR

The ionospheric monitoring is carried out by vertical incident ionospheric soundings, using the Advanced Ionospheric Sounder - INGV.

Description

The sounder is located at the surrounding area of the Spanish Antarctic Station Juan Carlos I (Livingston Island). Its operation is limited to the availability of electrical power supply, and for this reason it only operates during the months in which the SAS JCI remains open.

Our data records during the 2022-2023 survey covered the period between January 13 and March 11, 2023
