Knee osteoarthritis (OA)-related phenotypes of myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) is mediated by infrapatellar fat pad (IPFP)-derived factors in a body mass (BMI)-dependent manner and positively correlates with IPFP-derived adiponectin levels

Listed in NCBI GEO

In osteoarthritis (OA), immune cells including myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) infiltrate infrapatellar fat pad.

Description

MDSCs play a crucial role in immune suppression in cancer and autoimmunity, but their function change upon increasing of body mass index (BMI). However, role of MDSC in OA is less studied.

Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the the effect of BMI on gene expression profile in MDSC from knee OA patients.
