Effect of BET degrader ZBC260 on the Breast cancer tumor microenvironment
Listed in NCBI GEO
Bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) proteins are epigenetic regulators of gene transcription that play important roles in cancer development and progression.
Description
ZBC260 is a BET-targeting degrader that promotes degradation of BET family proteins and has demonstrated anti-tumor activity in breast cancer models. However, the effects of BET degradation on the cellular composition and transcriptional states of the breast cancer tumor microenvironment (TME) remain incompletely understood.
Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) was used to characterize the effects of ZBC260 treatment on the cellular composition and transcriptional landscape of breast tumors. Whole tumors from vehicle and ZBC260 treated female BALB/c mice bearing D2A1 murine breast cancer tumors were analyzed to determine treatment-associated changes in major tumor and tumor-associated cell populations. The analysis was initially used to assess overall changes in the major cellular populations within the TME following ZBC260 treatment.
