Single-cell transcriptomic profiling of endothelial cells across four developmental stages of zebrafish larvae

Listed in NCBI GEO

The vascular endothelium, once considered a simple passive barrier, is now recognized as a highly dynamic and heterogeneous tissue that plays a crucial role in organ homeostasis, immunity, and disease pathogenesis.

Description

We performed scRNA-seq to systematically profile zebrafish endothelial cells at 1, 2, 4, and 8 dpf, mapping their developmental progression at single-cell resolution. This study delineates the transition of ECs from early specification to functional specialization, and defined distinct EC subpopulations during early ontogeny.
