scRNA-seq of vascular endothelial cells from multiple mouse tissues and human limb muscle

Listed in NCBI GEO

In this study, we analyzed vascular endothelial cells (ECs) from multiple mouse tissues, liver, limb, and lung as well as from human limb muscle.

Description

We demonstrate that CD157-positive ECs exhibit a conserved transcriptional profile across tissues, including gene signatures associated with angiogenesis. By integrating mouse and human scRNA-seq datasets, we identified EC clusters in human tissue that display gene expression profiles similar to those of mouse CD157-positive ECs.

These cells were localized to the intima of large vessels and were found to express newly identified, specific marker genes.
